In 1994, Tanury introduced PVD to the coating industry. Using
a unique dry vacuum process, parts are coated with ultra-hard zirconium
or titanium nitrides. PVD is typically used for high wear applications as
a replacement for gold, silver and brass. Black, blue, chrome and mauve
finishes are aslo available.
In 2002, Tanury added a Hauzer 1000 to their existing PVD capability. This new system provides both Cathodic Arc and Magnetron sputtering in a single operating environment. In addition to offering flexible high speed batch coating of smaller parts, it provides a versatile tool for research and development. |
